SUMMER CAMP

Overview

Urgent, Inc.'s Youth Empowerment Summer Camp provides girls’ opportunities to discover their capabilities cultivate their own skills and talents and increase their life skills, social skills, self-esteem and leadership abilities in a fun, safe and nurturing environment with high quality programming utilizing best practice strategies and standards.

When: June 15, 2009-July 24 , 2009 (six weeks)

Where: St. Francis Xavier School 1682 NW 4th Ave. Miami, FL 33136

Who: Girls Ages 6-13 (must have completed kindergarten)

Time: Mon-Fri 8:30am-6:00pm (drop-off begins at 7:30am)

Fees: Registration $30.00/per child
          Weekly Fee $20/per child (Only $4/day!))

Highlights: Daily Nutritional Snack and Lunch, Field Trips Twice a Week, Dance, Drama, Music, Entrepreneurship, Arts and Crafts, Journalism, Story Time, Creative Writing, Technology, Etiquette, Social Skills, Nutrition, Recreation

Enrollment

There are several steps to officially enroll your child in the Youth Empowerment Summer Camp Program.

1) Complete Enrollment Application (Click here for forms). The forms can be returned via mail, fax or dropped off to: Urgent, Inc. 1600 NW 3rd Ave. Bldg Miami, FL 33136, Faxed to 305-576-2089.

2) Pay Registration Fee. Registrations are taken first come first serve basis and are non-refundable. Before you pay, please call to verify we are still accepting applications.

3) Attend a Mandatory Pre Camp Parent Orientation. Parent orientations will be held in May 2009 and June 2009. Next Orientation May 5 , 2009 @ 6pm at the Culmer Center 1600 NW 3rd Ave. Bldg. D Miami, FL 33136. Please bring student ID/SSN, proof of City of Miami residency (utility bill, etc.) and money order for summer camp payment. To RSVP email shedia@urgenint.org or call 305-586-6694. Note: Your child will not be able to begin the program until all enrollment activities have been completed successfully summer camp fees are paid in full prior to June 15, 2009.
