On behalf of the Youth Unite for Peace Festival Committee 2009, we invite you to be a part of this powerful event that will reach upwards of 3,000 people. The audience at this event will be a diverse crowd including, students, families, community leaders and professionals. As a sponsor, your company will have the opportunity to gain valuable exposure through the success of this event.

This packet includes information about our event, a listing of levels of sponsorship opportunities, and a one-page form for you to return with your commitment. In addition to pre-set packages, we are willing to discuss individual arrangements with you such as in-kind donations of goods and services. Depending on the type of organization or business you belong to, we can work out the most beneficial forms of recognition for you. Please keep in mind that Urgent, Inc. is a 501 (c ) 3 organization and can provide you with a tax receipt for the tax-deductible portion of your sponsorship.

About Us

The Unite for Peace Festival planning committee is lead by the Office of City of Miami Commissioner Michelle Spence-Jones and non-profit community based partner Urgent, Inc. Each partner brings extensive experience in producing great concerts, community events and performances. With the same dedication and determination that made their own events successful, they have come together to present the 1st Annual Unite for Peace Festival 2009.

The Unite for Peace movement was launched out of the Office of City of Miami District 5 Commissioner Michelle Spence-Jones in 2006 to address the senseless killings of youth in the community. Unite for Peace started as a public awareness campaign driven by youth to address non-violence and peace in the community. The campaign utilized youth, local artist and athletes to promote an anti-violence message to youth and their families.

Urgent, Inc. has partnered with the Commissioner to help expand the reach of the Unite for Peace Campaign. Urgent, Inc. celebrates 15 years of empowering and revitalizing urban communities through the arts, culture, community service, youth and economic development. For the past seven years, Urgent, Inc. has produced an annual youth production which showcased positive youth performances in dance, drama, music and song.
